Glitre Energi AS, which is among Norway's largest regional power groups, is owned 50 per cent by Vardar AS and 50 per cent by the Municipality of Drammen.
The company consists of the business areas of Production, Infrastructure, Marketing and New Renewable Energy.
The Glitre Energi Group's ambitions are to develop and renew the supply of energy in the Buskerud region, so that long-term value creation is achieved for the owners at the same time that customers receive a competitive supply of power with regard to price and quality of delivery. The strategy that has been followed for a number of years to realise this ambition is to invest in new future-oriented energy plants and associated system solutions in the area of power production, power grids and heat production / district heating. The subsidiary Glitre Energi Kraftproduksjon has a mean production of approximately 2.5 TWh. The company manages the operations of 21 wholly and partly owned power stations in the Drammen and Numedal river systems.
