What is wind power?

Wind is flows of air that attempt to equalise pressure differences in the atmosphere that arise when the sun warms air masses differently on the planet. Wind power is energy that is converted from this renewable kinetic energy of the wind to electrical energy by means of wind turbines. The wind moves the wind turbine blades that drive a generator inside the machine housing by means of a rotor. From the generator, the electricity is transmitted through cables and the grid to the consumer.
