Welcome to Vardar Varme

Vardar Varme is engaged in the production and sale of district heating in Hønefoss and Vestfossen. In Vestfossen, we have the wholly-owned subsidiary Øvre Eiker Fjernvarme, but everything is managed by common personnel. In Hønefoss we also offer cooling, and we have a cooling grid at Hvervenmoen and in the centre of town.

These pages are aimed at the general public in the areas where we can deliver district heating, as well as for people who are interested in the environment, bioenergy and district heating. We use bioenergy in our heating plants, which saves the air from large volumes of CO2, both locally and globally. Our customers receive clean energy right to their door!!

Worth thinking about!
Today, Vardar Varme produces approximately 40,000,000 kWh annually. Almost all of this goes to heating where oil furnaces were used previously. Altogether, these customers save the town of Hønefoss approximately 8,000,000 kg of CO2 emissions annually! This corresponds to approximately 53 million kilometres of driving in the centre of town annually.
