Vardar is a power group in which the Buskerud County Administration owns all the class A shares. In addition, the municipalities in Buskerud owns class B shares.

The Group's business areas are organised in a number of subsidiaries and associated companies and encompass the following areas: Hydropower, Energiselskapet Buskerud (EB), Bioenergy, Wind Power in Norway, Wind Power Abroad and Real Estate.

In addition, the Group is actively engaged in innovation and business development. The word "Vardar" is derived from varde (beacon) and is supposed to give associations to something that is lasting, safe and secure.
